What a great six days

Everyone that knows me knows how much I love my job, but if I needed a reminder of that fact, the last six days provided it.

When you have two teams - both of which are outstanding to cover - making PIAA championship runs, the long drives and extra hours are well worth it.

Start with Saturday, June 8, being at Penn State's Multisport Indoor Facility to report on Northeastern's PIAA Class AA volleyball championship was a blast. A great team with outstanding kids and coaches, seeing the Bobcats raise the trophy was a pleasure.

Of course, the same can be said for West York baseball. These kids and coaches are fun to be around and on Friday, June 14, we trekked back to Penn State to watch the Bulldogs wins a second consecutive state championship. Once again, it was a tremendous experience all around.

Few reporters that spend most of their time covering high school sports get to cover a state championship game, much less two in six days. Thanks Northeastern, thanks West York. Thanks YAIAA.
