Summer tour in full swing for Central York's Jay Stone

Central York boys' track and field coach Chris Detwiler reports Jay Stone's appearance at the Caribbean Scholastic Invitational in Carolina, Puerto Rico, was a success. Stone, coming off two District 3 hurdle championships as a junior, enjoyed three strong finishes in Puerto Rico.

Stone finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles at 14.6 seconds. He placed second in the 400 hurdles at 54.31 and was the second leg on the second-place 1,600 relay team, which ran a 3:14.70 time.

Stone is back in the United States for another meet this weekend but not in Pennsylvania. He will compete at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro, N.C., for the New Balance Outdoor Nationals meet.
