High school journalism students take over the NewsVroom

>

About 90 high school journalism students flooded the York Daily Record/Sunday News offices on Thursday for the 20th annual Student Journalism Workshop.

The event is broken up into breakout sessions, and students get to choose which workshops to attend throughout the day. Topics varied from magazine journalism to GameTimePA and digital sports journalism, from photojournalism to social media.

Lyzz Jones and I tackled the topic of community engagement via the NewsVroom -- which many of you have gotten to check out at various sporting events around York County. This time, though, we put the students in charge of asking and answering the questions, as well as documenting the day. Take a look at how they did. It was a blast.
