After throwing the first nine-inning complete-game shutout by an Elizabethtown College pitcher in nearly four seasons, York Suburban grad Matt Ruth was named the Commonwealth Conference Pitcher of the Week.

Ruth outdueled Stevenson ace Alec Romanowski, allowing only six hits, while striking out four, and did not walk a batter in the Blue Jays 1-0 victory.

The senior is 3-2 with a 4.01 ERA this season.
