McDonald's announces nominees for All-American Games

Several YAIAA players were included when McDonald's released its nominations Thursday for this year's All-American Games, which will be played April 3 in Chicago.

Nominees are announced by state, and four of the six girls under consideration from Pennsylvania are in the YAIAA. Four were included on the boys' side, where the state had 20. The YAIAA boys include: William Penn's Tavon Parker, Northeastern's Khalid Nwandu and the South Western duo of Parker Bean and Mike Duffy. For the girls: Red Lion's Jen Horvatinovic, York Catholic's Morgan Klunk, Kennard-Dale's Sara Tarbert and Dallastown's Shannon Thomas were selected.

Players are nominated by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All-American Games Selection Committee. The final rosters will include 24 boys and 24 girls for their respective games and be announced at 5 p.m. on Feb. 14. The selection show can be seen at that time on ESPNU.
