To follow on Wednesday's post about how Northern York's board of education is not against looking into the YAIAA, board president Bud Lake reiterated the school and its administration are committed to the Mid-Penn.

Lake said Tuesday's committee meeting in which the YAIAA was brought up "was idle conversation that came up from a newspaper article."

Gettysburg will leave the Mid-Penn for the YAIAA in the fall of 2014. The move impacts Northern York because the schools play in the same division for football.

When asked if the school board's discussion about the YAIAA could continue, Lake said it is currently "a dead topic."
