Behind the scenes at Hersheypark Stadium

The GameTimePA crew covered its final game of the fall season Friday. A crew of six (three writers, one photog, two NewsVroomers) made the trek to Hershey (some of us made a few wrong turns, coughClaytoncough) to cover West York vs. Bishop McDevitt, from pregame to postgame.

Here's a look at how we did it:

The NewsVroom, manned by myself and business/weekly editor Cathy Hirko, got to Hersheypark Stadium a bit before 5. We got a sweet setup right in front of the box office and while I took care of setup, Hirko made our presence known by driving around and talking to fans.

This time, we were holding a contest to win a gift card to Dick's and we tried our hand at hot beverages. (Look for us at YAIAA basketball games soon!)

We could tell when the West York fans turned the corner of the stadium ...

Inside the stadium, the Triple-J squad, Jim Seip, John Clayton and correspondent Jonas Fortune, prepared for game. We tried to shoot a pregame video on the field but technology failed, and we couldn't upload it. John did host a live chat throughout the game, and both he and Seip tweeted heavily.

I was down on the sidelines, shooting video for the first time during a football game. A few tips from multimedia goddess Kate Penn, and I was good to go. I even scored some free handwarmers and didn't get hit. #Winning.

The night ended with our team being the last people left in the stadium -- except for the black cat that scampered across the end zone.
