YAIAA football power rankings, Week 10: Bermudian, Biglerville get ready for showdown

A reminder of the process behind the rankings: Don’t think of these as a straight-on measure of which team is better in a head-to-head sense -- obviously, if that were the case, the top five would be loaded with Class AAA and AAAA teams most of the time. Instead, think of them as a gauge primarily of which team is playing the best, with record, quality of opponent(s), classification, etc., also factored in.
These are for fun, so treat them as such. That said, please do chime in with your own thoughts in the comments. Opposing opinions are always welcome.
1. West York (1) -- It wasn't pretty, but the Bulldogs (9-0) once again found a way last week against Northeastern. We saw a few cracks in West York's defense in that one, but the Bulldogs made big plays when it mattered. Perhaps that the experience and maturity of this senior class is shining through.
2. Bermudian Springs (2) -- Another week, another consistent, efficient performance by the Eagles (9-0). Bermudian held Littlestown to 131 total yards, and has still not allowed more than eight points in a game this season. Can Biglerville change that Friday?
3. Spring Grove (3) -- The Rockets locked up a share of their first Division I title since 2002 with a win over Dallastown. How good has this offense been? In its last four games, Spring Grove (7-2) has scored a combined 168 points. It scored 118 all of last season.
4. Central York (4) -- The Panthers (6-3) can likely lock up a first-round home game in the District 3-AAAA playoffs with a win over William Penn. Look out for reciever Darian Hampton, who had 254 receiving yards against Red Lion last week and ranks second in the YAIAA with 776 yards on the season.
5. Biglerville (5) -- The Canners (8-1) got a bit of a scare from York Suburban last week, but still head into this Friday's showdown against Bermudian with a chance to grab a share of the Division III title. Biglerville has the YAIAA's top scoring offense, and its 360 total points are 49 more than the next closest team (Central York).
6. Delone Catholic (7) -- The Squires (6-3) have been in cruise control these past few weeks, and it's hard to see them slipping up against winless Hanover this Friday. Delone looks like a sure bet to grab to the top spot in the District 3-A playoffs.
7. Littlestown (6) -- The Bolts never got going against Bermudian last week, but then again neither have any of the Eagles opponents this season. Littlestown (6-3) looks like a safe bet to grab the eight-and-final District 3-AA playoff spot.
8. Northeastern (8) -- Tough loss last week for Bobcats (6-3), who moved the ball early against a West York defense that had looked impenetrable at times this season. Time to regroup for a Saturday trip to Fawn Grove -- Northeastern needs to beat Kennard-Dale to hold on to the final District 3-AAA playoff spot.
9. South Western (10) -- The Mustangs (5-4) have steadied themselves these past two weeks with wins over Red Lion and William Penn. But can that defense -- which has allowed 69, 63 and 54 points in games this season -- stop a red-hot Spring Grove offense?
10. New Oxford (NR) -- Bit of a surprise entrant here, but let's give the Colonials (4-5) some credit: They've won three in a row, and could actually earn a share of the Division II crown if they're able to pull a stunner over West York.
In the mix: Dallastown (3-6), York Suburban (5-4), William Penn (3-6)
