Division vision: Who's closing in on YAIAA divisional football titles?

Week 9 brought us a little closer to crowning the YAIAA divisional football champs. Here’s a glance around the league after Friday’s matchups. See the full standings here. Spoiler alert: Week 10 will decide a lot.

DIVISION I

Spring Grove secured at least a share of the division title after beating Dallastown on Friday. But Central York still has a chance to get a piece of the pie. The Rockets would take the title outright with a win next week vs. South Western. A Rocket loss combined with a Panther win against William Penn would split the title between Central and Spring Grove.

DIVISION II

West York’s win against Northeastern guaranteed it at least a share of the division title. The Bobcats have one division loss, making them even with New Oxford. The Colonials face the Bulldogs next week, while West York controls its fate. Victories by both New Oxford and Northeastern would create a three-way tie.

DIVISION III

There’s little surprise that the season comes down to next week’s Bermudian Springs-Biglerville clash. The Eagles already sealed their share of the title with Friday’s victory against Littlestown. This division is simple: If Bermudian wins, it’s the sole champ. If the Canners win, they become co-champs.
