West York alum Bethany Richardson earns honor at Lycoming

Freshman middle hitter Bethany Richardson, a West York grad, was recently named the Lycoming College Warrior of the Week for the week of Sept. 10.

Richardson posted 39 kills and 36 digs to help the Warriors to a 3-1 mark at the Dickinson Invitational, including 13 kills and six digs helping Lycoming defeat York College, 3-2. It was Lycoming's first win over the Spartans since 2005.

In the Warriors next match, Richardson posted 14 kills and 11 digs for her first double-double, leading the Warriors to another five-set win. She also had seven kills and 11 digs against Penn State Altoona, helping the Warriors to a 3-0 win.
