Delone Catholic football senior Nick Braun will find himself in rare company this January.

The Squires senior running back was recently selected to play in the Pro-Motion Sports Blue-Grey All-Star Classic, which will be held on Jan. 12 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. Braun was one of 60 players selected for the game, which will feature prospects from all across the country.

Braun advanced through a series of combines in Philadelphia, Foxboro, Mass., and Canton, Ohio, this summer to qualify for the all-star event, which will be televised by Fox Sports Florida. He'll play for the "North" squad.

Despite spending most of his career with at Delone as a running back -- he entered the season as the Squires leading returning rusher -- Braun tried out as a receiver for the Blue-Grey game. He registered a 4.56-second 40-time and a 4.22 shuttle during a combine in Philadelphia last May.

The Squires improved to 1-1 this season on Saturday, courtesy of a 49-6 win over York County Tech.
