Central York's Andrews Dadeboe picks up offer from Toledo

Here's one name you may want to keep an eye as we inch closer to football season: Central York's Andrews Dadeboe.

The rising senior cornerback picked up his first Division I scholarship offer last month from Toledo. Several other schools have also been sniffing around recently, including Penn State, Maryland, Temple, Rutgers and a few Ivy League schools.

Dadeboe's biggest draw may be his size. At 6-feet tall, he possesses ideal height for a cornerback. Dadeboe has also charted a 38-inch vertical leap and a 40-time that hovers around 4.5 seconds. So the athleticism is certainly there.

"Truthfully, he could probably play any sport that he wanted to," Central York coach Brad Livingston said. "Top that off with the fact that he’s a very good student that has great grades.  ... I’m almost a little shocked that this deep into the summer, he doesn’t have more offers than he does. "

One other Central York player has also received some noteworthy interest. Rising senior running back Marquis Fells has been looked at by Temple, Livingston said, along with some other smaller schools.
