Here are some tidbits to whet your appetite for the championship game:

ALL IN THE FAMILY: Friday's game marks the second time in three years that the AAA title game has been an all-District 3 affair. West York or L-S will be the third straight D3 team to win the title following Northern York (2011) and Conrad Weiser (2010).

REPPIN' YORK AND ADAMS: If the Bulldogs win Friday, they would be the fifth team from York and Adams counties to win a state baseball championship since 1977. The others were: Northern York (AAA, 2011), Bermudian Springs (AA, 2010), Northeastern (AA, 2004) and Red Land (AAA, 1990).

Here's a look at West York's state tourney path:

  • First round: West York 10, Hollidaysburg 0 (5 innings)

  • Quarterfinal: West York 6, Belle Vernon 2

  • Semifinal: West York 8, Blackhawk 1
