It appears Four McGlynn's stint at Vermont will end after one season.

The former Dallastown standout has requested his release from the school, per the above tweet from @yorkballers, the Twitter account of McGlynn's former AAU team. This after a breakout freshman season which saw McGlynn win America East Conference freshman on the year honors.

The school later confirmed to the Burlington Free Press that McGlynn had requested his release Wednesday morning.

Despite serving as the team's sixth man last season, McGlynn still led the Catamounts in scoring (12 points per game) and 3-pointers made (68). The 6-foot-3 shooting guard helped Vermont win the America East tournament title, then scored 18 points on 5-of-9 shooting to help lead Vermont beat Lamar in an NCAA Tournament play-in round game.

McGlynn averaged 24 points per game as a senior at Dallastown, and finished his high school career with a school-record 1,854 points.
