Two York County gymnasts have earned invites to prestigious national events in the next month.

Central York senior Lindsey Litten will compete in the Junior Olympic National Championships in Hampton, Va., on May 10-13. Litten qualified for the event by placing in a tie for fifth all-around at the Level 10 Region 7 Championships held April 21-22 in Allentown. Litten took home gold in the uneven bars at the event, receiving a score of 9.55. The top 7 all-around finishers at Allentown qualified for the Junior Olympic Championships.,

Meanwhile, West York sophomore Lia Breeden placed 12th at the same Region 7 event. That earned her a spot at the National Invitational Tournament held at the Junior Olympic Championships.

Both athletes train at Artistic Sports Academy Plus in Harrisburg, which will send 10 of its members to national events in May.
