VIDEO: York Suburban volleyball justifies its state ranking

>

Life is pretty good right now for the York Suburban boys' volleyball team.

The same Trojans team that has gone 11 years without a YAIAA regular season title looks like a contender. It improved to 4-0 Thursday, after sweeping a strong Dallastown side, 25-18, 25-21, 25-16. And Suburban checked in at No. 2 this week in the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Assocation's state Class AA rankings.

"It has come up," Suburban coach Jamie Evans said of the ranking. "We’ve said it is what it is, whether it’s accurate or not. I think we deserve to be in that arena. But we know that anyone in that Top 10 can float up and down that scale and beat anyone on a given night. Our philsophy is, it’s there, embrace it, but go out there and prove we deserve it. People are saying we don’t deserve it? Prove that we deserve to be there."
