New Oxford's Brehm's no-no leads to CC Player of Week honors

New Oxford grad Caroline Brehm, a freshman at McDaniel College tossed her first collegiate no-hitter with her gem over Haverford.

Brehm fanned 16 hitters while walking only three in her seven-inning masterpiece. She started the week by setting McDaniel's single season strikeout record, and on Monday was named the Commonwealth Conference Pitcher of the Week. She was also selected as ECAC Pitcher of the Week, covering the eastern region of Division III.

Brehm also entered the second game of Saturday's doubleheader, pitching the final 2 2/3 innings with six strikeouts and earned the win to improve to 10-4 on the season for the Green Terror (14-6, 6-0).
