Heiser steps down as Eastern York girls' basketball coach

Bob Heiser's 12-year run as Eastern York's girls' basketball coach has ended. Heiser submitted his resignation to the school last week, Eastern York athletic director Jack Predix said Thursday.

Heiser amasses more than 200 victories during his time with the Golden Knights, including the 2007 District 3 Class AAA championship.

"His record speaks for itself," Predix said. "Our program is very strong and he’s done a really good job."

Eastern York won an outright YAIAA Division III title this past season, finishing with a 20-5 record. The Golden Knights' campaign ended abruptly, in the form of an overtime loss to West York in the first-round of the district tournament.
