Hepler, Moul earn preseason nod from Rawlings/Perfect Game

A pair of YAIAA pitchers were honored earlier this week, when Rawlings and Perfect Game released their annual All-American and All-Region baseball teams. West York senior Kaden Hepler and South Western senior Eric Moul were both named to the Atlantic Region's honorable mention list.

Hepler, a 6-foot-3 right-hander, was named YAIAA Division II's co-player of the year as a junior last spring. He compiled a 3.00 ERA and struck out 88 batters in 49 innings. The Bulldogs ace has committed to Winthrop.

Moul, a 5-foot-11 lefty, should anchor the Mustangs staff this year, along with hard-throwing junior Parker Bean. Moul will also play Division I baseball next season, having signed with New Jersey Institute of Technology.

In addition, three other players with York County ties earned All-American honors: Red Land right-hander Samuel Sorensen earned an Atlantic Region second-team nod, while Northern York pitcher Vince Apicella and catcher Jon Mayer were both honorable mentions.
