Delone's Sierra Moore named McDonald's All-American

As far as individual honors go in high school basketball, it doesn't get much bigger than this.

Delone Catholic star Sierra Moore was named to the McDonald's All-American team on Thursday. She was one of 24 girls' players from across the country selected to play in the prestigious event, which will take place at Chicago's United Center at 6:30 p.m. on March 28 and be broadcast live on ESPNU.

The Duke recruit has rewritten the YAIAA record books throughout her four-year career with the Squirettes. She became the league's all-time leading girls' scorer during a senior-night win over Fairfield on Jan. 31, when she passed surpassed former Northeastern standout Autumn Lau's record of 2,304 points.
