Not sure how I missed this over the weekend, but the Patriot-News released its latest girls' basketball state rankings. And two YAIAA teams earned a Top 10 spot in their respective classifications.

Red Lion checked in at No. 10 in the Class AAAA rankings. The Lions have raced to a 10-1 start this season, with many of those wins coming in dominant fashion. Their lone loss came to Allentown Central Catholic. District 1's Archbishop Carroll earned the top spot in the quad-A poll.

Meanwhile, York Catholic once again finds itself in a familiar spot near the top of the Class AA rankings. The Fighting Irish were placed in the No. 3 slot, behind Seton LaSalle and defending state champion Villa Maria.

Two other YAIAA teams made honorable mention in the latest rankings: Delone Catholic (9-2) in Class AA and Eastern York (10-3) in Class AAA.

Check out the full rankings here.

Also of note: No YAIAA boys' teams were mentioned in the latest Patriot-News boys' basketball state rankings.
