Three from area make Eastern PA Football's small-school all-state team

The calender may have flipped over to the new year, but we're still seeing some all-state football lists trickle out. The latest comes from EasternPAFootball.com, which released its small school all-state team this week. The list is made up of players from schools within the A and AA classifications of Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12 and Independent teams.

No YAIAA players made the first-team, but three did make the site's honorable mention squad. They are:

WR Patrick Montgomery, York Catholic -- The senior led the YAIAA in receiving yards this season. He piled up 1,111 on 54 catches, good for a 20.6 yard-per-catch average. Montgomery also reeled in eight touchdowns.

WR Corey Ahner, Littlestown -- The senior lagged just behind Montgomery in receiving yards (1,022), but surpassed him in both receptions (58) and touchdown grabs (12). Ahner and Montgomery were the only two receivers in the YAIAA to surpass 1,000 yards this fall.

QB Dustin Crouse, Littlestown -- The latest member of the Bolts impressive lineage of signal callers. In his first season as a starter, the junior racked up 2,147 passing yards. He also completed 51.2 percent of his passes and tossed 18 touchdowns.
