Athlete Spotlight: Central York's Hayley Harrold

Hayley Harold is a senior basketball player at Central York and was kind enough to answer some of our questions.

If Angry Birds was made into a YAIAA sport, would you participate?

Maybe, I do not think I would be very good at it. I am not good at the game, but I would try.

It’s noon on a typical Saturday. What are you doing?

Usually I am coming home from basketball and showering.

If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?

Oprah -- She has done a lot for women’s rights and I think it would be pretty cool to sit down and talk to her about how she has made a difference.

My great grandma -- I never got a chance to meet her because she passed away before I was born.

Martin Luther King.

If you could switch places with anyone for a day, who would it be?

Probably a celebrity just to see what it is like. I don’t have one off the top of my head but anyone actually.

What television show needs to make a comeback?

I would love to see Friends come back.

If you could travel anywhere for a month, where would you go?

Definitely Europe, maybe explore all over the place. Maybe Spain or Rome.

Do you have any pets?

I have two dogs (Dutch and Riley) and a cat (Patches).

Why did you start playing basketball?

I started playing really young. I had older cousins who played and my mom and dad played so I thought it would be fun to try.
