Dallastown boys swimmers shine at Bucknell Invitational


The Dallastown boys swimming team members were unstoppable at last weekend's Bucknell Invitational.

The Wildcats won four of the events led sophomore Trevor Hine, who won both the 200 individual medley (2:01.30) and 500 freestyle (4:49.51).

Senior Jake Dunningham earned a victory in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.20). Hine also teamed with Corey Stauffer (sophomore), Braxton Erne (junior) and Michael Godboldte (senior) to win the 400 free relay by more than three seconds with a time of 3:19.31.

Other Top 10 finishes for the boys: 200 medley relay,(Mason Tate, Dunningham, Hine, John Hudish), second; 200 Free,  Steven Paine (9th) and D.J. Boyer (10th); 200 IM, Dunningham (3rd), Tate (9th); 50 free: Stauffer (5th), Hudish (7th), Godboldte (9th) and Ashton Hensel (10th); 100 free, Stauffer (5th) and Godboldte (10th); 500 free, Boyer (5th); 200 free relay (Stauffer, Hudish, Hensel, Godboldte), second; 100 backstroke, Paine (2nd), Tate (3rd) and Noah Brockway (10th).

South Western's Jordan Grim and Kieran Koehler finished fifth and seventh respectively in the boys' 100 breast. The Mustangs also took 8th in the medley relay.

The Wildcat girls were solid too, with Alyssa Bixler placing second in the 200 IM and third in the 100 free. Teresa Casolo was eighth in the 200 free and sixth in the 500 free. Mikaelie Gonzalez was ninth in the 100 butterfly. Dallastown's girls' relays were 10th in the medley, fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 400 free.

South Western girls were eighth in the medley and 400 relays, 10th in the 200 free relay.
