Susquehannock's volleyball's four seniors not done yet

The Susquehannock volleyball team saw its season end Saturday morning, with a three-game defeat to Southern Lehigh in a PIAA Class AA semifinal.

The loss did not, however, spell the end to the competitive careers of the Warriors four seniors.

Those four players -- Sherelle Walker, Kacey Franz, Hannah Bentz and Kara Anderson -- will all play collegiately, Susquehannnock coach Rob Marrison said. Walker will play at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County; Franz is headed to Salisbury (Md.) University; Bentz will compete at Gettysburg; and Anderson will play for Stevenson (Md.) University.

Those four have all played critical roles for the Warriors this season. Walker, in particular, was the team's main source of offense. She had 13 kills in Susquehannock's defeat Saturday.

"I told the kids here in the huddle, I don’t even know if I expected to do as well as we did this year," Marrison said after the match. "They fought hard, worked their butts off in the offseason. I couldn’t have asked for anything more out of them."
