Spring Grove hopes to "tackle hunger"


The Spring Grove football team will use its opening night matchup against Central Dauphin East this Friday to try and "tackle hunger" in its surrounding community.

According a release from the school, fans are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to this Friday's 7 p.m. game. The food items will be collected inside both gates and will be donated to local food pantries. The gates at Papermakers Stadium with open at 5:30.

There should certainly be a buzz in the stadium that night, for the debut of new Rockets coach Russ Stoner.
