Central York's Hasenfuss up for C.D. East job?

It appears as if Marty Hasenfuss' return to coaching in York County will be short-lived. According to a school board agenda posted on the Central Dauphin School District's website, Hasenfuss will appear in front of that board Monday to be approved as the new boys' basketball coach at Central Dauphin East. (You can view the school board agenda here.) Hasenfuss recently wrapped up his second year as the coach at Central York, but before that he spent 14 seasons directing Eastern York's program. Attempts to reach Hasenfuss and Central York athletic director Marty Trimmer on Friday were unsuccessful. If approved, Hasenfuss will not exactly be charting new territory. He spent three seasons as the coach at neighboring Central Dauphin, leading the Rams to the 2005 District 3 Class AAAA championship. Hasenfuss arrived at Central York before the 2009-10 campaign, and led the Panthers to a 31-18 overall record in his two seasons. Central finished 16-9 this season, 11-4 in YAIAA Division I play. Overall, Hasenfuss sports a 300-188 record in his 19 seasons. At C.D East, Hasenfuss would be in line to replace veteran coach Bruce Leib, who retired this season following a 6-15 campaign.
