Locals shine at Pa. Hoops Roundball Showcase

Many of the YAIAA's top senior basketball players participated in this weekend's Pennsylvania Hoops Roundball Showcase, a series of all-star games held at Middletown High School. The event featured nine games spread over a two-night span on Friday and Saturday. The weekend's final contest -- and perhaps its most anticipated one -- was a matchup of boys' all-stars from Pennsylvania and Maryland. The PA team featured four local Division I commits: Dallastown's Four McGlynn, William Penn's Kelvin Parker and Eastern York's Austin Tillotson and Andrew Nicholas. McGlynn scored a team-high 17 points, while the other three all also reached double figures in scoring in Pennsylvania's eventual 117-104 loss. I've posted a few highlights from Saturday night's action after the jump. Stats from Friday's games weren't immediately available... - Dallastown's Ford Reinalda and Cori Ebersole scored 18 and 14 points, respectively, for the East all-stars in a 96-87 loss to the West all-stars. - Kennard-Dale forward Brandon Mitchell piled up 26 points to lead the Mid-Atlantic boys during a 99-91 to the East Coast all-stars. - York Catholic star Kady Schrann scored a team-high 12 points to lead the Pennsylvania girls' all-stars over Maryland, 83-79 on Saturday.
