Neumann-Goretti boys defend their PIAA Class AAA basketball title

Freshman Ja'Quan Newton led Neumann-Goretti with 17 points as the Saints defeated Montour 55-45 to win their second consecutive PIAA Class AAA title.


Mt. Lebanon girls hold on for third consecutive PIAA Class AAA championship

The Mt. Lebanon girls won their third consecutive PIAA Class AAA championship by holding off Archbishop Carroll, 47-46.


Villa Maria girls snare third consecutive Class AA state title

The Villa Maria girls basketball team dominated Dunmore Friday afternoon in the PIAA Class AA state championship game.   Abby Steudler led all scorers with 17 points as Villa won 62-39.

Wilson senior Jordan Rosa has decided to continue his wrestling career at Virginia Tech next year.


MCS Charter beats Lincoln Park 70-55

Jeremiah Worthem led MCS with 22 points as the Mighty Elephants upended Lincoln Park 70-55 to win their first ever PIAA Class A title.
