Eastern kicker Moore headed to Grand View
Eastern York kicker Erik Moore has accepted a scholarship to Grand View University in Des Moines, Iowa, according to a release sent out by the school Thursday. The Golden Knights senior was among the league's top kickers last season, booting seven field goals and 25 extra points. Moore was named a third-team all-state choice by the Pennsylvania Football News.Grand View's football program was started in 2008, and the school just completed its third season of competition. The Vikings are a member of the NAIA and compete in the Mid-States Football Association. Grand View finished 6-4 last season, and is 16-15 overall in its three years of competition. Moore plans to major in criminal justice at the school. Erik Moore joins York Catholic's Brett Moore as kicker's from the area to move on to the next level. Brett Moore committed to California (Pa.) in February.
