Charleroi sophomore Cody Wiercoich was looking for redemption in the Class AA championships.  Wiercoich has only lost two wrestling matches in his varsity career and one of those came last year in the championship match.  This year he got his redemption, winning the Class AA title.

Shady Side's Geoff Alexander became only the 20th wrestler in WPIAL to win four titles when he pinned Jeannette sophomore Sean LaVella in the first round.
