Cumberland Valley's Dennis Zaitsev's tough schedule gets him a district title

Thanks in part to a grueling regular season in which it seemed every match he was going up against the opposing teams heavy hitter, Cumberland Valley's Dennis Zaitsev was well prepared for the road to the district title which he won the district title.


Palmyra storms back, beats Hershey for the first time in a decade

Thanks to a pair of late power play goals, the Palmyra boys ice hockey team defeated Hershey for the first time in a decade, 4-3.


Riverview girl set to compete in WPIAL wrestling tourney

Meghan Moroney, a 5-foot-2 freshman from Riverview High School is going to be competing in the 103-pound weight class at the WPIAL wrestling tournament.  Moroney was 11-12 during the season with more then half of her wins coming from pin fall or decision.


Hockey becomes year-round endeavor

Zach LaDuke could leave Latrobe High School as one of the best hockey players ever in the WPIAL history.  LaDuke's success can be attributed to the fact that he is now playing year-round and in an average of 100 hockey games a year between high school and club.


Boiling Springs wrestling nets 7 sectional titles

The Boiling Springs wrestling team won seven individual wrestling titles at sectionals and advanced three others to the District 3 Class AA tournament next Saturday.


Four Wildcats claim sectional gold

For the Owen J Roberts wrestling team, the District 1-AAA Section Four tournament was a huge success.  The Wildcats brought home four sectional titles, the most by any OJR team since 1973
