York Catholic's Laucks signs with Bryant

Another bit of signing day related news to pass along... York Catholic standout Gary Laucks will sign a letter of intent today to play for Bryant University, according to a release sent out by the high school. Bryant, a private university in Smithfield, Rhode Island, is a Division I FCS school (formerly Division I-AA) that plays in the Northeast Conference. Laucks was a three-year starter for the Fighting Irish, and a standout at both wide receiver and linebacker. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound was one of the most productive pass catchers in the YAIAA last season, despite missing a game due to a shoulder injury. Laucks caught 33 passes for 657 yards and 12 touchdowns. He ranked first in the YAIAA in yards per catch (19.9), tied for second in touchdown grabs and fourth in receptions. Laucks was named a YAIAA Division III first-team all-star on both offense and defense this past season. He was also a Class A second-team all-state pick his junior season. Bryant finished 7-4 last season, 4-4 in conference play. We'll be sure to pass along any other signing day news as we get it.
