McGlynn closing in on scoring record

Four McGlynn should hit another scoring milestone Tuesday. Dallastown's senior guard is just seven points away from becoming the Wildcats' all-time leading boys' scorer. He'll almost certainly get there Tuesday, when Dallastown (16-2, 11-1) hosts William Penn (18-1, 12-0) in a pivotal YAIAA Division I showdown at 7:30 p.m. As if that game needed any extra buildup. McGlynn is closing in on the current mark of 1,616 points, set by Bill Rutecki in 1976. Rutecki will be in attendance Tuesday to help congratulate McGlynn, if and (more likely) when he breaks the record. McGlynn is the YAIAA's leading scorer this season, averaging 24.8 points per game. He poured in 30 Friday in an 82-48 route of Spring Grove.
