Late surge helps Neumann trump Carroll

No. 8 Neumann-Goretti topped No.1 Archbishop Carroll Sunday afternoon behind 22 points from Lamin Fulton.  Archbishop Carroll was led by Juan'ya Green who finished the game with 22 points but that was not enough as Neumann had four players with double-digit points.


Paul VI zooms past Lenape in Olympic clash

In a battle of defense's, Paul VI proved to have the stingiest as the Eagles defeated Lenape 61-45 Saturday.  The Eagles were led by junior Ron Curry, who recently committed to JMU, and Rob Poole.  The two players accounted for 44 of the teams 61 points.


Central, Jack prevail in big men showdown

In Sunday's Villa Holiday Classic between Holy Redeemer and Central Catholic, all eyes were on two players.  Two very tall players.  There was Holy Redeemer's 6-11 senior Peter Alexis, who has verbally committed to Penn State and then 6-9 junior Donovan Jack.   In this match-up, Jack and his Central Catholic team got the best of Alexis and Holy Redeemer.  Jack scored a career high 27 points and Central went on to win 58-46.


Trinity boys stay perfect in Capital

The Trinity boys basketball team stayed perfect in the Capital Division as they easily took care of Milton Hershey 62-46.   The Shamrocks were led by Kevin Agnew and his 16 points.  Milton Hershey was led by Yaphet Michael's 18 points but that was not enough to overcome the Shamrocks.


Harrisburg beats Harriton 61-44, claims sixth consecutive victory

The Harrisburg boys basketball team was sitting at 4-3 and looking at what direction their season would go.  Six games later, they have to be pretty excited.  The Cougars won their sixth consecutive game Sunday by defeating Harriton 61-44 and improved to 10-3.


Sizable second-half run propels Bethlehem Liberty past Red land 57-49

Bethlehem Liberty handed Red Land their third consecutive loss in the opening game of the Villa Classic.   Izel Dickerson, Alwedy Rivera, and Louie Horwath combined for 32 points for Liberty to help them improve to 11-1 on the season.
