Injury updates: Central York, Dover, Littlestown

A few injury updates to digest as Friday approaches:

- Central York junior quarterback Brandon Baker is "iffy" from Friday's visit to New Oxford, Panthers coach Brad Livingston said.

Baker (concussion-like symptoms) was shaken up in the second quarter of Central's Week 2 loss to Cumberland Valley. Sophomore Corey Hartz started in Baker's place last week, and threw two scores in the Panthers' 28-0 win at Hempfield.

"I was really happy with him," Livingston said of Hartz. "Not only was I happy with him, I was very confident. Corey has been in our program for years and we were confident in what he was doing."

Baker has practiced this week, Livingston said.

- Dover lineman Jeramiah Middleton will miss the next few weeks with a broken right wrist, the senior said Wednesday.

Middleton suffered the injury during the Eagles' 28-0 win against Red Land last week.

Meanwhile, junior linebacker Mike Lopresti, the team's leading tackler, will be a gametime decision against Spring Grove on Friday because of a dinged-up ankle.

- Littlestown wide receiver Dustin Hildebrand is set to miss a significant amount of time with a broken collarbone, Bolts coach Mike Lippy said.

The senior has three catches this year -- all for touchdowns -- for a total of 98 yards.
