Schrann weighing all her college options

Kady Schrann said Tuesday she's in no hurry to make a decision on her college future.

The York Catholic rising senior point guard has been drawing plenty of praise this past season, and was recently highlighted in a pair of ESPN.com recruiting stories.

Schrann, who has been playing this summer with the Philadelphia-based Lady Runnin' Rebels AAU squad, arrived in Georgia on Tuesday for the Fila Nationals tournament, her final stop on a busy summer slate. She said in a phone interview she hasn't yet started the process of narrowing down her college suitors.

"I'm taking my time with it," said Schrann, an Associated Press Class AA first-team all-state selection last year. "Some girls get sick of all this stuff and they just want to decide. I just want to take my time."

Schrann said she has a list of about eight schools she's considering, including Penn State, Vanderbilt, West Virginia, Villanova and Virginia. She'll probably start paring down that list in the next month or so.

The Lady Runnin' Rebels lineup also features Delone Catholic rising junior Sierra Moore -- another D-I prospect who's gotten some national pub. That's given the two would-be rivals a chance to play together for a change.

"We joke, I should go play with her at Delone Catholic or she should come play with me at York Catholic," Schrann said.

Now there's a scary thought for opponents.
