Sites, times set for Friday's PIAA hoops games

Five YAIAA basketball teams will try to continue their state playoff runs during Friday's slate of quarterfinals. Here are the times and locations for those matchups.

As was the case in the first round, the York Catholic girls and Eastern York boys will be playing a doubleheader at the same place. This time, the site is Martz Hall in Pottsville.

Class AAA

Eastern York (3-1, 30-0) vs. Abington Heights (2-1, 29-2), at Martz Hall in Pottsville, 7:30 p.m.

York Suburban (3-6, 24-5) vs. Chartiers Valley (7-1, 27-1), at Hollidaysburg Area High School, 7 p.m.

GIRLS

Class AAAA

Red Lion (3-6, 26-4) vs. Abington (1-1, 25-4), at Reading High's Geigle Complex, 6 p.m.

Class AA

Delone Catholic (3-3, 22-5) vs. Lancaster Mennonite (3-2, 24-5), at East Pennsboro High School, 7:30 p.m.

York Catholic (3-1, 26-3) vs. Dunmore (2-1, 24-4) at Martz Hall in Pottsville, 6 p.m.
