Susquehannock's tumultuous search for a head football coach may finally be coming to an end.

According an agenda on the Southern York County School Board Web site, York Suburban coach Bill Kerr will be presented for approval tonight at the district's scheduled board meeting.

Multiple attempts to reach Kerr on Wednesday were unsuccessful. Susquehannock athletic director Chuck Abbott and York Suburban athletic director Larry Ludwig also could not be reached for comment.

Kerr spent the last three years as head coach at Suburban, compiling an 18-14 record in that time. The Trojans finished 7-4 last year and earned a District 3, Class AA playoff berth.

Before becoming head coach, Kerr spent six years as an assistant at Suburban. He also served as head coach at York County Tech from 1996-2000, going 6-45 in that time.

Kerr's approval would end a chaotic coaching search. Susquehannock officials originally tabbed Lancaster Catholic assistant Deron Gue for the position, but Gue withdrew his name from consideration on Jan. 21 -- hours before the school board was slated to vote on his approval.

The Warriors are attempting to replace Jerry Higgins, who was let go December after completing a 0-10 campaign -- Susquehannock's first winless season since 1990.

Assuming it's true, what does everybody think? Good hire?
