Add UConn to list of Kline's suitors

I'm actually a tad late in blogging this, since our intrepid reporter Matt Goul passed this tip along a few days ago, but Dallastown junior Ben Kline has collected another verbal offer. This time, it's from Connecticut and their coach, York County native Randy Edsall. Dallastown head coach Kevin Myers confirmed the offer, which was made on Saturday.

There is certainly precedent here. Edsall has often pursued players from his home county -- most recently luring former William Penn wideout Malik Generett up to Storrs, Conn. And it looks like he's ready to make a push for Kline.

The Dallastown junior has 19 catches for 224 yards this year, but at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds is being recruited primarily to play defense, Myers said. Kline received his first verbal offer Sept. 1 from West Viriginia. The Huskies' offer is his second.

Expect the number of suitors to increase. Myers said Maryland called this week to express interest, and Penn State has been keeping tabs, as well. And Myers added he and Kline will be sending out a fresh round of game film to schools soon.
