VIDEO: Memorable moments from the 2015 District 3 basketball tournaments
With the 2015 PIAA Basketball Tournament about to get underway this weekend, I’d like to take a look back at the 2015 District 3 Tournament. Throughout my travels, there were some moments that really stuck out.
The tournament was full of local storylines that kept everyone interested until the very last game.
Such instances include:
- An undermanned Cedar Crest team putting up a great fight in the Class AAAA boys’ title game against William Penn.
- Columbia’s Cinderella run to the Class AA boys’ championship game.
- The Lebanon Catholic girls return to prominence.
- Steelton-High downing Susquehanna Township and Bishop McDevitt to claim the AAA boys’ crown.
- Cumberland Valley defeating Palmyra in the finals seconds of the Class AAAA girls’ title game.
- The McCaskey boys’ team playing with just five players against Harrisburg.
I know I’m missing plenty of others but I think you get the point.
Included in the video above are some of the more memorable moments/highlights in the District 3 Tournaments.
