Top 10 fall season highlights in the L-L


The fall sports season has ended and as the wrestling mats are being rolled out and the sound of sneakers squeaking on the gym floor are starting to dominate, let’s take a look back on some of the best highlights of the 2014 fall season.

 

10. Hempfield’s Kelsey Munster gets behind the Blue Streaks defense and finds Logan Ryan on the left side of cage to slam home the game-winner in OT.

9. Lampeter-Strasburg’s Collin “Bear” Shank lands a big hit against Cocalico.

8. Warwick’s Jaycie St. John makes two defensive saves against Penn Manor. She did draw a penalty stroke for lifting her stick above her head but the hand-eye coordination is impressive enough to make the list.

7. E-Town’s Madison Mohr weaves through the Cocalico defense and scores.

6. CV’s Grant Stoltzfus hits Jamaar Parker on a 68-yard touchdown pass vs L-S.

5. E-Town goalkeeper Tommy Shank makes two saves vs Lower Dauphin in the first round of the District 3 playoffs.

4. Penn Manor’s Tyler Spangler breaks numerous tackles en route to a 75-yard TD run vs Wilson.

3. Hempfield freshman David Martin brings in a 15-yard TD catch vs Manheim Central.

2. Wilson’s Jake Gehman makes a spectacular catch vs Central Dauphin in the District 3 Championship game.

1. Lancaster Mennonite’s David Alejos pulls off an amazing bicycle kick goal vs Pequea Valley.
