Baseball and America:  two words that go hand-in-hand. Before Lampeter-Strasburg’s Senior Night game with Donegal, senior Kyle Hancock played a rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner on his electric guitar which couldn’t have set the scene any better.

Then in the bottom of the eighth inning, Pioneers senior Cameron Enck hit a game-winning, walk-off single that clinched an L-L playoff berth for Lampeter-Strasburg.

Something about watching the final play while listening to Hancock’s version of our national anthem just makes you want to eat a slice of apple pie, wave the stars and stripes with pride and start a “USA! USA! USA!” chant.
