Wilson's Timochenko cleared to play against Penn Manor


As of 9:30 this morning, Wilson quarterback Matt Timochenko has been cleared to return to action this week for the Bulldogs playoff game against Penn Manor.

Timochenko has missed the past two games with mono but has been involved in practices since last week and said he expects to start this Friday night.

In his absence, junior Jake Templin led Wilson (11-0) to wins over Warwick in the regular season finale and Manheim Township in the first round of the district playoffs. In his two starts, Templin completed 21-of-33 passes for 157 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Timochenko led to the Bulldogs to another undefeated season and their sixth straight Section One title in 2013. The senior quarterback has passed for 1302 yards this season

with 14 touchdowns and six interceptions.

In their October 25 matchup, Wilson erased a seven-point fourth quarter deficit to defeat Penn Manor, 21-14. The no. 1 Bulldogs host the no. 9 Comets at John Gurski Stadium at 7pm this Friday.
