The benefits of farming according to Bo

There’s no denying that the Lancaster-Lebanon area is full of well-maintained farms. There’s also no denying that to keep those farms well-maintained, it takes a lot of hard work.

I caught up with Solanco’s Bo Spiller earlier this week and we talked about how he helps out on a friend’s farm every day throughout the summer. Spiller explained how working outside helped him get acclimated to the summertime heat so that the weather isn’t so intense come August when official football practices start.

Along with the physical demands, Spiller said that having the responsibilities that are included in farming have reinforced his work ethic and discipline that will transfer over to the football field.

Sounds like good news for Mules fans.
