Fall sports: How Hanover-Adams area teams stack up for the YAIAA playoffs

With the YAIAA playoffs approaching, there are several Hanover-Adams area teams having great seasons that will get a chance to compete for the league title. Take a look at the tournament dates, and which area teams could compete:
Girls volleyball
Tournament dates: Oct. 26 & 27Who makes it: 8 teams (3 Division I, 3 Division II, 2 Division III)
Hanover-Adams contenders:
South Western (7-5, 5-4 Division I): The Mustangs currently hold the No. 3 spot in Division I.
Spring Grove (7-7, 4-5 Division I): The Rockets trail South Western by one match with three to play.
New Oxford (4-7, 3-7 Division I): A darkhorse, the Colonials sit two matches out of the No. 3 spot in Division I with three matches left.
Gettysburg (7-6, 6-5 Division II): Another darkhorse, the Warriors sit two matches out of the No. 3 spot in Division II with three matches left.
Delone Catholic (13-1, 10-0 Division III): The defending champion Squires are in the driver's seat in Division III.
Hanover (11-3, 8-1 Division III): The Hawkettes lock up the No. 2 spot in Division III with one more win.

Field hockey
Tournament dates: Oct. 21 & 22Who makes it: 4 teams (2 Division I, 1 Division II, 1 Division III)
Hanover-Adams contenders:
New Oxford (13-2-1, 11-2 Division I): The Colonials clinch a spot in the league tournament with a win against Red Lion on Thursday.
Gettysburg (16-0, 10-0 Division II): The undefeated Warriors have clinched the Division II title.
Bermudian Springs (14-1, 9-0 Division III): The Eagles have clinched the Division III title.

Boys soccer
Tournament dates: Oct. 17, 20 & 22Who makes it: 8 teams (3 Division I, 3 Division II, 2 Division III)
Hanover-Adams contenders:
Gettysburg (15-0, 11-0 Division II): The undefeated Warriors have clinched the Division II title)
Bermudian Springs (13-2, 10-1 Division III): The Eagles can clinch the Division III title with a win against Littlestown on Thursday.
Biglerville (11-6, 9-2 Division III): The Canners have clinched a spot in the YAIAA tournament.

Tournament dates: Oct. 17, 20 & 22Who makes it: 8 teams (3 Division I, 3 Division II, 2 Division III)
Hanover-Adams contenders:
Fairfield (14-1, 10-1 Division III): After a dramatic win against York Catholic on Tuesday night, the Knights are assured of a spot in the league tournament.
York Catholic (11-3, 10-1 Division III): The Lady Irish are also assured of a spot in the league tournament.
