Sunday Spotlight: Two-minute drill Q&A with Fairfield’s Mason Flickinger

Quarterback Mason Flickinger was a key ingredient in Fairfield football’s 6-4 record a season ago, and the Green Knights trip to the 2013 playoffs. During 2014 media day, Flickinger answered questions on his team’s chances in the upcoming season, and how they can replicate last year’s success.

Talk about the offensive scheme entering 2014: Last year we were pretty balanced, we had a great running attack. This year we could spread it out a little bit more, use our speed to our advantage. Throw a good bit.

Your go-to wide receiver is: Usually we try and spread it around. There’s no one guy. Just short, and quick.

On building off last year’s success: Last year we obviously had a great season. But we’re going to try to build off that, use our momentum and carry that into this year.
