Here's a look ahead to: April 28-May 2

Here’s a look at the biggest high school matchups of the week. Check out the full schedule at GameTimePA.com.

Monday, April 28

BASEBALL

>> Littlestown at Susquehannock, 4:15 pm: Susquehannock comes in as the hottest team in the YAIAA. They have won 10 straight and currently are 10-1 on the season. They sit in second, just behind West York in the PIAA District 3 Class AAA standings. Littlestown sits firm at the 12 spot of the District 3 Class AAA standings after winning five in a row. The two teams squared off earlier in tine season and Susquehannock came away 5-0 winners. The Warriors hold a two-and-a-half game lead over Littlestown in the YAIAA Division III race. Littlestown must win to stay in the hunt.

Tuesday, April 29

Boys’ VOLLEYBALL

>> Kennard-Dale at New Oxford, 7:00 pm: One of these two teams is going to walk away with their first win of the season. The Colonials are a young, inexperienced squad who has yet to win a set in league play this year. All of that frustration could change with a win against the Rams.

Wednesday, April 30

SOFTBALL

>> Red Lion at South Western, 4:15 pm: The Mustangs are currently sitting 15th in the PIAA District 3 Class AAAA standings. The top 16 teams make it the tournament. They come into their contest against Red Lion with a 6-5 record and needing to win to maintain their position. The two teams faced each other earlier in the season and it was Red Lion who came away with an 8-2 win.

Thursday, May 1

BASEBALL

>> York Tech at Biglerville, 4:15 pm: On paper this game may lack significance. The Canners are 5-5 and York Tech is 0-12. A little deeper digging will show that the Canners are hanging on by a thread to the eighth and final spot in the District 3 Class AA tournament. They are .004 points ahead of Halifax. The Canners have only played 10 games, so as they hit a stretch where they play at least three games a week for the remainder of the season, each one is a must-win. The last time these two teams faced each other, Biglerville won 19-4.

Friday, May 2

Girls’ Lacrosse

>> New Oxford at Red Lion, 4:15 pm: Despite starting the season 2-7, New Oxford is 2-2 in their last four games. Tiffany Brzenk leads the Colonials with 22 goals. Sierra Donavan leads the way for Red Lion with 49 goals. In a meeting earlier in the season, the Colonials won 11-8 and Lydia James and Aggie Phillips led the way with three goals each.
