MONDAY, MARCH 31

Baseball

Big Spring at Gettysburg  4:15 - Gettysburg opened the season earning second with a mercy rule shortened 13-3 win against Fairfield. The Warriors look to continue a strong last campaign in the Mid-Penn before joining the YAIAA next year.

TUESDAY, APRIL 1

Boys’ Tennis

Dallastown at New Oxford, 3:30 p.m. - The Colonials have jumped out to a 2-0 start and head coach Travis Martin feels he has as deep of a team as he has ever had. Dallastown is in a rebuilding year, with four freshmen in the two through five spots. This could be a big win for the Colonials in a week that also has them facing South Western.

Boys’ Track & Field

Biglerville at Fairfield, 3:30 -  This is a sneaky matchup early in the season. The teams finished third and fifth respectively in the YAIAA Division III  last year, but both return plenty on their respective rosters. Depth has been an issue for these teams in the past, but look for the winner of this matchup to make a push on York County Tech and Littlestown for a divisional crown.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 2

Baseball

Dover at New Oxford, 4:15 p.m. - New Oxford lost a tough 2-0 game to Red Land in their season opener but bring back a wealth of talent off of last year’s roster in Austin Kibler, Anthony Lippy and Aaron Palmer. Dover looks primed to challenge for the YAIAA Division II title. The Eagles opened their season with a walk-off single by senior Grant Hoover over Susquehannock.

THURSDAY, APRIL 3

Boys’ lacrosse

Spring Grove at South Western, 4:15 p.m. - These two teams do not need any extra motivation when they face each other regardless of the sport. The cross-town rivals square off in their first of two matchups this season. South Western heads into the week 1-1 coming off of a hard fought loss to York Suburban. The Rockets lost their season opening contest to York Suburban but hope to rebound against their rivals.

Boys’ volleyball

Northeastern at Spring Grove, 7 p.m. - This will be a true litmus test for the Rockets. They are currently 2-0 and have a strong combination of experience and youth. Northeastern is the class of the field. The reigning PIAA Class AA champs are led by Penn State bound Luke Braswell.

FRIDAY, APRIL 4

High School softball

Kennard-Dale at Littlestown, 4:15 p.m. The Thunderbolts will be coming fresh off a game against last year’s second-place finisher in YAIAA Division 3, Eastern York before battling the returning champ. Littlestown returned 10 letterwinners this year and hopes to exact some revenge.
