MONDAY, JANUARY 6
High School girls’ basketball
Dallastown at West York, 7:30 p.m. - Amari Johnson (13.5 ppg) leads Dallastown (8-2, 4-1 YAIAA Division I) into West York (6-2, 4-0) as the Wildcats try to knock off the division's top dogs. Dallastown is riding a four-game winning streak. West York is led by Kari Lankford (14.5 ppg) who has scored double-digits in six of seven games this season.
High school wrestling
Kennard-Dale at Spring Grove, 7 p.m. - Spring Grove sits at a perfect 3-0 heading into the week. Kennard-Dale is a paltry 2-5 but has several strong wrestlers. Two intriguing match-ups are at 138-pounds, Kennard-Dale’s Pat Scarborough (25-3) against Spring Grove’s Michael Hartman (27-5). At 170-pounds, the number one ranked high school wrestler in the nation, Kennard-Dale’s Chance Marsteller (28-0) against Spring Grove’s Jonathan Gross (26-6).
TUESDAY, JANUARY 7
High school boys’ basketball
Central York at Dallastown, 7:30 p.m. - In a match-up of the top two teams in YAIAA Division I, Central York (7-2 overall, 4-0 YAIAA Division I) travels to Dallastown (7-3 overall, 3-2 YAIAA Division I). Sam Saxton leads Central York with 14.7 points per game. He has scored double-digit figures in eight of their nine games. Dallastown is on a three-game winning streak, two of which came from the hands of Spring Grove.
Delone Catholic at Hanover, 7:30 p.m. - The two top teams in YAIAA Division IV and cross-town rivals square off against each other. It is also a match-up of the top two scorers in the Hanover-area. Delone Catholic (5-4 overall, 3-1 Division IV) is led by junior Devon Moore who is averaging 18.6 points per game. Moore is coming off of back-to-back 20 plus points a game at the Gettysburg tournament. The Nighthawks (7-3 overall, 2-2 Division IV) is led by senior Nick Trish and his Hanover-area leading 18.8 points per game. Hanover has won four of their last five games and a win would put them in a tie with the Squires for the division.
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 8
High school wrestling
Hanover at Bermudian Springs, 7 p.m. - This is an intriguing match-up. Bermudian Springs is the reigning top dog in YAIAA Division III and are currently sitting at 8-1 overall and 3-0 in the division. Hanover sits at 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the division. Despite the record, the Nighthawks are a strong team. There are two match-ups that standout. Hanover’s Caleb Garland (19-5) squares off against Bermudian Springs’ Dalton Becker (24-6) at 120-pounds. At 138-pounds Hanover’s Ian Brown (21-2) battles Bermudian Springs’ Austin Jackson (20-6).
FRIDAY, JANUARY 10
High school boys’ basketball
Shippensburg at Gettysburg, 7:30 p.m. - Both teams enter coming off Holiday tournament championships. Shippensburg is led by Bryce Hastings and his 13.6 points per game. Gettysburg is on a three-game winning streak in which they won all three by double-digits. Trey Thomas leads the Warriors with 15.0 points per game. The struggle for the Warriors has been from the foul line. They are currently shooting 53.9% from the line. Both teams come into the game with three losses. Gettysburg is 4-1 in the conference and Shippensburg sits at 3-2.

Dover at Susquehannock, 7:30 p.m. - It is a battle of top teams in YAIAA Division II. Dover is led by one of the more dynamic players in the YAIAA in Alayah Hall (15.0 points per game) and currently sits atop Division II at 8-0 overall and 4-0 in the division. Susquehannock enters the game with three scorers averaging double-digits. Shannon Druck leads the way averaging 14.3 points per game. Katie Wagner (13.3 ppg) and Mackenzie Fancher (11.3 ppg) make the Warriors one of the most talented teams in the YAIAA.
York Catholic at Delone Catholic, 7:30 p.m. - In a battle of the Catholic schools, an undefeated York Catholic takes on the Squirettes of Delone. The Irish sit at 8-0 thanks in large part to their stingy defense. York Catholic is allowing teams 37.6 points per game. Offensively, the Irish are a balanced team with Hannah Laslo averaging 10.9 points per game. Delone on the other hand is a two-headed monster in Maddie Comly and Mary Gingrow. Gingrow is averaging 13 points per game and Comly is third in the YAIAA averaging 21.5 points per game.
